Priority Freight was contacted to transfer 60 boxes of cargo, consisting of newly produced components, weighing 350kg. The time-sensitive deadline ensured the commodity needed an air option, however the size and quantity of the cargo did not meet the regular air freight restrictions.

In this time-critical situation Priority Freight secured a workable solution in less than one hour of primary contact. The solution saw the large consignment reorganised into 15 packages, which was acceptable by the airlines baggage restrictions.

Contacting three on-board couriers, each organised to fly with five parcels, ensured the consignment would arrive, at the final destination in Tamworth, via road, before the initial deadline.

With a solution chosen, flights booked and couriers found, the client advised the same solution would be needed for another shipment of 60 boxes the next day making the total consignment 120 boxes and a combined weight of 700kg.

The quick response time and ability to think outside of the box provided by Priority Freight ensured the initial schedule was kept and the transit time on both days came in under 11 hours, door-to-door.

The team’s expertise and experience with creating bespoke solutions minimalised the impact to the client, resulting in an uninterrupted production line that the client was very happy with:

“Due to influences outside of our control, we had to deliver larger quantities of parts than we had initially anticipated and were unable to find a solution that could meet our 24hr deadline. We are very pleased with the support that [Priority Freight] provided in monitoring the shipment and meeting our tight deadline.”
