Ukraine situation update

As a leading provider of global time-critical transport solutions, we are constantly monitoring the developing situation in Ukraine. In order to keep both our operational teams and customers up-to-date with the availability of all modes of transport, here is the latest update on the Ukraine land borders and air, road and rail transports:

AIR CHARTER

European charter flights are in the main unaffected, although, some Ukrainian operators report some aircraft have remained at their homebase.

AIR FREIGHT

The EU & the UK has closed its airspace to Russian owned, Russian registered or Russian controlled aircraft (including chartered aircraft). The European President, Ursula von der Leyen, stated “They won’t be able to land in, take off or overfly the territory of the EU, including the private jets of oligarchs.” In response, Russia has banned overflying of their air space.

Finnair, Virgin & Air France suspend flights to some Asian destinations as they decide on rerouting, Undoubtedly, this will add pressure to an already difficult market, especially taking in to account the reduction in flights from Air Bridge.

ROAD FREIGHT

No road transport services are currently available within Ukraine or imp/exp. All borders are focusing on human traffic processing those trying to leave the country. We will advise of changes in due course.

RAIL FREIGHT

Rail services in and out of Ukraine are massively delayed or cancelled. For services from China to Poland, this is uninterrupted.

UKRAINE BORDERS

• UA-RO
• UA-MD

These borders are focused on humanitarian purposes and hire and reward transport is currently not advisable.
