Priority Freight Enhances Operations in Central England
Priority Freight, a leading global provider of contingency logistics solutions, has invested £2 million in expanding its Midlands operations in the UK, to coincide with the company’s 10-year anniversary in the region. The business opened its Coventry office in 2005 and has since gone from strength to strength.
In response to the growing demand for its services, Priority Freight will open a new hub, located in Coventry, providing a 24-hours a day service, seven days a week, starting January 2016. In addition to a larger control centre, the state-of-the-art facilities will enable Priority Freight to offer 25,000 square feet of warehouse space available for contingency warehousing, forward stock location and replenishment, fulfilment, storage and archiving. These value-added services further complement the wide range of time-critical solutions managed by Priority Freight’s team of multilingual logistics and customs experts.
Neal Williams, Group Managing Director at Priority Freight, commented: “Priority Freight’s mission is to supply the fastest, most reliable, secure and cost-effective contingency logistics solutions for our customers, something we’ve been doing successfully from our Midlands office for the last 10 years. This new UK facility further adds to this service offering by providing a facility to store goods in a highly secure environment, managed 24-hours a day with the opportunity to inject those goods into customer supply chains any time of day or night.”
With a commitment to excellent customer service, Priority Freight offers tailor-made, innovative transport solutions, developed in close partnership with clients. Through the use of highly-advanced track and trace technology, the company offers high levels of visibility and traceability throughout the supply chain, enabling customers to maximise the flexibility and responsiveness of their supply chains, whilst improving their cost base.
With six strategically located control centres, Priority Freight operates 24/7 across the globe, handling over 100,000 expedited shipments annually. Founded in 1996, company revenues exceeded €66m during the 2013/14 financial year.
